MY RECOUNT! I watched the propellers slowly turn faster and faster and felt my seat begin to rumble as I looked out of my depressingly small window, I felt a wave of nausea shoot up through my stomach as I saw that the rain was pouring down each drop the size of a golf ball and the flash of lightning over head. At the time I thought we wouldn’t leave but after a few minutes we were preparing to take off. I thought back to about half an hour ago. I had arrived at the airport and I was waiting for the plane to Wellington. I was travelling there to visit my Grandma. The rest of my family were coming down a week later to stay for a while and to pick me up.
Back to reality. The take off was smooth even though there had been an electrical storm. In the air I was amazed at how white it was outside. An air hostess came round to offer everyone water and to ask if I was ok because I was an underage minor.
Eventually I got bored so I pulled out my new book from my carry on bag it was called Brigands M.C. When the air hostess came round with an assortment of biscuits she commented on how big the book was. When we landed I had to wait for all the other passengers to get out before I could. When I got outside I felt strange like I hadn’t grasped that I was in Wellington even though it was spitting. I enjoyed the plane ride and the white sky and I also wonder when I will get another plane ride by myself as an underage minor soon.
